Every election year, we hear a lot of talk about polls, especially in competitive races like ours here in ME-02.

But I’ve lived in Maine my entire life, so I tend to focus more on what my constituents are telling me rather than what a pollster might report to me. I know that I need to earn and work to keep your support – because party labels don’t carry much weight here.

As a Mainer, I’m proud of our state’s approach to elections, because I follow that same approach to my votes in Washington. I don’t always toe the party line, but instead, I go with my conscience after carefully weighing the facts.

So here’s my promise to you as we head into the final few months of the campaign: I’ll never take your support for granted. As I’ve done over the past few years, I’ll do my best to win and keep your support through my actions as a candidate and representative.

But John, the GOP thinks they can buy this election with dark money and special interest cash. We need to keep up the fight to stop that from happening, but right now, we’re trailing about $17,500 short of our July fundraising goal. If you’re able, I’d be so grateful if you could chip in a few bucks to my campaign today.
