Hey,
Beer is mostly water -- almost 90 percent of it, in fact. The flavor and cleanliness of water are at the heart of making a great brew -- and are the key to the multi-million dollar economy that powers many of the craft breweries that call our state home. Too many sulfates? Beer can taste acidic. Chlorine? It can resemble aspirin. Yuck -- no one wants any of that. But soon, the Supreme Court will decide whether or not the Trump administration can weaken existing protections in the Clean Water Act -- a crucial cornerstone of public health law that has kept our water safe for drinking, bathing, and so on. If we give big businesses a license to pollute and make it easier to pump sludge into our grounds and waterways, the water we all rely on each day will be contaminated as a result.
