John, I want to talk to you about something a lot of politicians these days are taking for granted: your time.
I’m not interested in wasting your time. So if you’d rather chip in $5 now and skip the rest of this email, that’s fine by me. But I hope you’ll give me a moment to explain how Kevin McCarthy plans on wasting your time.
In a recent interview on Fox News, McCarthy revealed his plans if he takes the House -- to launch a series of nonsense investigations to rile up his conservative base and waste the American taxpayer’s time.
Whether it’s grilling US intelligence officials on where COVID-19 came from, or launching a retaliatory investigation against the January 6th committee, McCarthy’s top priorities seem to be rooted in division, distractions, and ignoring the community he’s been elected to represent.
John, we can’t afford to let McCarthy waste any more of our time. But with only 5 seats standing between him and the Speaker’s gavel, we need all hands on deck. Could you rush $5, $25, or even $50 to help me DEFEAT Kevin McCarthy and protect our narrow House majority?

Despite what the pundits might report, the Central Valley is much less favorable to McCarthy than he thinks. The conversations we’re having make it clear that our community desperately wants a leader who will fight for us -- not a politician pandering to their extremist base and greedy corporations.
But here’s the harsh truth: Running a grassroots campaign is expensive. From training volunteers, paying for gas, and running our political ads -- there’s a lot of expenses ahead for our campaign. On top of that, we’re competing with the corporate PAC and special interest money backing McCarthy.
That’s why I’m asking for your support right now. Please chip in $5 or anything you can to give us a fighting chance to defeat McCarthy.
Thank you for your support,
