Social Security benefits all Americans, but less than three months ago, the GOP proposed legislation to sunset the program in just five years.

In Connecticut’s 1st District, there are more than 146,000 beneficiaries of Social Security. In our state, over 695,000 people rely on Social Security every month. Across the country, over 65 million Americans benefit from Social Security.

One thing is clear: Millions rely on this vital program, and we must keep fighting to protect it.

That’s why I have set a goal to raise $8,700 by midnight on August 14th.
