Hi again, John. It's Alex, Trudy's campaign manager. This email is a bit longer than my usual messages, so it'd mean so much to me if you’d take a moment to read it.

A while back, I promised myself that I wouldn't work on a race this election cycle. I love life on the campaign trail, but it's not easy. The long hours and the constant demands of campaigns require us staffers to put most everything else on hold.

But when I heard from Trudy, I knew I couldn't say no. 

There is so much at stake this year – the right to abortion, voting rights, stopping hyper-partisanship, and more. It's a scary time, and as a native Missourian, I'm deeply worried about the future of my home state. So when I met Trudy, I knew she was the person to tackle it all and lead us forward.

It's hard to put into words what exactly it is about Trudy that won me over so quickly. There are a lot of big picture things – she's kind but holds firm to her beliefs, she's both compassionate and determined, fierce yet gentle, and honest through and through. But it's also the little things that mean so much. In fact, as I write this email, I'm drinking a coffee that Trudy brought me personally – that's just who she is.

You see, Trudy's the type of person who notices when people on her team or in her state need help – whether it's help staying awake during a long day of work, help affording childcare as costs keep rising, or help paying for prescription drugs and accessing quality healthcare. She notices, she listens, and then she takes action. That's what makes her such an excellent nurse and such a loving mother – and why I know that she's going to be the next senator from Missouri.

I joined this team because Trudy is exactly what Washington needs and because I know she will do right by our great state. I'm all in for Trudy, and tonight I'm asking you to join me. Please, will you pitch in $5 right now to send this compassionate and sincere nurse's heart to the U.S. Senate? Trudy will be an incredible leader in the Senate, but she needs you on her team to get there.
