Clearinghouse on Male Circumcision for HIV Prevention

** VMMC at AIDS 2022
------------------------------------------------------------

Dear Colleague,

Voluntary medical male circumcision (VMMC) will be the focus of 10 e-posters at the International AIDS Conference (AIDS 2022) in Montreal, Canada, from 29 July to 2 August.

The e-posters will cover a range of topics, from biological mechanisms for VMMC’s protective effects to seasonal fluctuations in demand for the service. One poster will analyze the real-world impact of male circumcision on HIV prevalence in sub-Saharan Africa, and another will assess district-level coverage and unmet need in the region.

Other posters will report on national efforts to scale up and sustain VMMC services. A poster from Zambia will examine efforts to rebrand VMMC services to meet targets during the COVID-19 pandemic. Another will share lessons about promoting service integration and sustainability in Zimbabwe.

The abstracts for these e-posters will be available on Thursday, 28 July, after 10 a.m. EDT. A list with links to the webpages where the abstracts will be posted is available here ([link removed]) .

Best regards
