Hi John

Tonight, the Berkeley City Council is voting on a resolution in support of non-violent activists and protection for animals. It’s a powerful statement condemning the prosecutions that I and other activists are facing in Sonoma County for simply documenting criminal animal cruelty and trying to give aid to animals who were found suffering, in many cases unable to walk, struggling to breathe, and visibly on the brink of death.

If the city of Berkeley passes this resolution, it will show Sonoma County that progressive cities stand behind whistleblowers and animal rescuers -- and it will pressure District Attorney Jill Ravitch to drop the charges and investigate animal cruelty. But most importantly, it will send a message to the entire world that ordinary people have the right to rescue animals from abuse. So can you join us at 5:30pm tonight to show support for the resolution? Every single body in a chair, holding a sign, will increase our chances of victory.

RSVP to the vote tonight and help us get one huge step closer to winning the Right to Rescue!

We will be meeting at 5:30pm at 1231 Addison St. in Berkeley. Everyone is wearing their blue DxE shirts to show solidarity (but if you don’t have one, we’ll have extras).

You can also share this video about the resolution and sign your name in support of the Right to Rescue at RightToRescue.com.

Thank you for all your help and I hope to see you tonight!

Wayne
