Dear John,

Today marks the 32nd anniversary of the Americans with Disabilities Act, and sadly tens of thousands of people with disabilities are still being paid less than the minimum wage – some can be paid as little as a few cents an hour.

Back in November, I introduced a bipartisan bill to ensure Montanans with disabilities in the workforce are never paid below the minimum wage.

Hear from Montanan Shyla Patera about how my bill will help support people with disabilities.

Paying individuals with disabilities below the minimum wage should never be the norm.

It’s unacceptable.

There is dignity and hope in work. It’s high time we support Montanans with disabilities in the workforce, not treat them unfairly.

As your voice in the United States Senate, I will continue my fight in Congress to ensure Montanans with disabilities are treated fairly in the workforce.

Sincerely,

Senator Steve Daines
