988 Suicide and Crisis Lifeline Tour and Briefing
988 -- officially launched on July 16, 2022 -- is the new, nationwide, three-digit dialing code for the Suicide and Crisis Lifeline. The 988 dialing code connects people via call, text, or chat, to the existing National Suicide Prevention Lifeline (NSPL). At 988, compassionate, accessible care and support are available for anyone having thoughts of suicide; experiencing mental health crisis, including concerns related to substance use; and any other kind of emotional distress.

Please arrive and set up cameras at 8:45 a.m. for the tour portion, followed by a briefing at 9:50 a.m. To ensure the safety of attendees, the briefing will be held in an outdoor space.
