John, my name is Manuel Oliver.

Four years ago, my son Joaquin was killed in the Parkland school shooting.

Since then, I have dedicated my life to ending gun violence so that no one has to feel the pain my family and community has. I’ve met with countless politicians who made promises and yet nothing has changed.

In the wake of tragedy they say the right words and deliver their prepared statements. But refuse to prioritize real action over their political interests.

I’m proud to support Maxwell Frost because I know he is the gun violence prevention champion we need in Congress. FL-10 is a wide open seat and we have an unprecedented chance to elect someone who will live up to the promises of so many politicians before him.

Let me explain why electing Maxwell to Congress would be the NRA’s worst nightmare:

As National Organizing Director for March for Our Lives, Maxwell stood up to the NRA again and again.

He helped mobilize a youth movement into a powerful force for gun violence prevention– advocating for policy across the country and standing up against armed counter-protesters.

Maxwell knows that sweeping gun violence reform can’t wait. And as a Congressman, Maxwell Frost will fight every day to make sure that gun violence prevention is a priority for Democrats.

The gun lobby is terrified of that happening. (And rightfully so.)

Already, alt-right sites like Breitbart have attacked him, and the gun lobby is rushing cash to crush his campaign.

There is no cure to the grief of losing your child, a grief I share with far too many due to the grip the NRA has on lawmakers in this country. I will continue to fight in honor of my son, an activist himself in life, to prevent other parents from living the unparalleled tragedy of losing a child to gun violence.

And I have hope that together we can elect the next generation of leaders who will not wait any longer for change.
