We are excited to celebrate the end of year with our annual AYD Holiday Brunch this Saturday!

We’ve had a great year and it’s time to show our appreciation for one another. We’ll come together to celebrate our accomplishments, give out awards to our stellar members, and swear in the newly elected executive board!

This year’s brunch will take place at William Jeffrey’s Tavern (2301 Columbia Pike, Arlington, VA, 22204) on December 14th from 11:30 am-1:30 pm.

As William Jeffrey's is not on the metro corridor, if you need a ride to the brunch also please contact Phebe Carlson at [email protected] (mailto:[email protected]) . We will be coordinating meeting at the Pentagon City and Clarendon metro stations and providing rides to the brunch!

Ticket prices are $25 for dues paying members and $35 for everyone else. Happy Holidays!

On December 14th, hundreds of people will gather to lay wreaths at Arlington National Cemetery. AYD will be participating in this effort.

If you’ve never attended, it is a beautiful event to honor those who served our country.

We will meet at 7:15 AM at Rosslyn Metro Station and metro to Arlington National Cemetery. Afterwards, we will have our annual holiday brunch in south Arlington.

The Arlington Young Democrats, in partnership with Equality Virginia, call on members and allies to volunteer for this important Equality Means Business campaign, which seeks to find local businesses willing to pledge that they will not discriminate against their employees or customers who are members of the LGBTQ community!

Our Arlington community is one of the bluest in the Commonwealth, and it’s time we start living our values through our businesses. But we need help getting the word out!

Volunteer to help AYD contact local businesses in Arlington (in person or by phone) to tell them about this important campaign and help them join! We will provide all volunteers with a sample script to get you started. Sign-up here ([link removed]) !

Want to help elect Democrats in less than an hour a month? We're recruiting Arlingtonians who live in apartment and condo complexes to serve as building ambassadors. You'll arrange voter registration events, remind your neighbors about upcoming elections and welcome candidates to visit.

Being a building ambassador is easy and fun! Many of our ambassadors find it a great way to meet their neighbors. Arlington Democrats will provide you with all the help that you need.
