Recently, I’ve been introducing you to down-ballot Democratic candidates who will help further our work for North Carolina. Today, I have three more. Read on to learn more about them — and consider powering their campaigns to victory with a contribution!
If you already know how important it is that we elect Democratic candidates up and down the ballot in November’s midterm elections, you can go ahead and split a donation between our team and their campaigns here.
John, I cannot stress enough how important November’s midterm elections will be to the future of our state. As we’ve seen, Republicans are eager to roll back our most fundamental rights and enact radical legislation that would be disastrous for North Carolina.
If you share my priorities of protecting reproductive health care access, preventing gun violence, defending against climate change, and more, I hope you’ll join me in working to BLOCK a GOP supermajority in Raleigh. Electing Democratic allies is how we do it.
I deeply appreciate your support for the candidates I’ve introduced you to so far. Today, I want to share three more candidates who will help build the firewall against the extreme legislation Republican leaders would like to pass — and I also need to ask you to split a contribution between their campaigns and our team to help them win their critical elections:
Mary Wills Bode is an attorney, nonprofit leader, and lifelong North Carolinian. She’s now the Democratic nominee for the newly drawn State Senate District 18, encompassing her home region of Wake and Granville Counties. Public service runs in Mary’s family; her mother is a former secretary of North Carolina’s Department of Health and Human Services and her father is a retired Vietnam veteran and civic leader. Mary is ready to take up the mantle of service and fight for a better future for our communities.
Marcia Morgan is a retired Army Colonel and a former educator who cares deeply about giving North Carolina children the best possible start in life. She knows the value and honor of public service, so she came out of retirement to step up as our Democratic nominee for State Senate District 7. Marcia has the leadership experience we need in Raleigh, and she has what it takes to win this competitive district if we all rally around her candidacy.
Linda Cooper-Suggs is running for re-election to represent State House District 24. She’s a former educator with deep ties to Eastern North Carolina — including obtaining her Master’s Degree at East Carolina University after college at NC A&T State University. In her two years in office, Linda has supported efforts to improve educational opportunities for all NC students no matter their zip code and expand Medicaid so every North Carolinian can access the health care they need. She’s ready to keep working hard to deliver for our state next year.
Our ability to create progress on the issues that matter most comes down to electing Democratic legislators we can count on. I know that Mary, Marcia, and Linda will be strong advocates for making North Carolina a stronger state for all of us.
Can you show these dedicated Democratic candidates some support ahead of their critical midterm elections? I’m asking personally for you to split a contribution between their campaigns and our team today >>>
