House Democrats JUST announced official articles of impeachment against Trump – one for abuse of power and one for obstruction of Congress and both articles cover a lot of ground.
The House Judiciary Committee is expected to vote on the articles very soon and send them to a full vote on the House floor as early as next week!
We need to ramp up the pressure on Congress NOW – supporting House Democrats’ fight to stop Trump's ongoing abuse of power and turning up the heat on the Republican senators who will decide if Trump is removed from office.
That’s why we’re teaming up with other national groups to mobilize a historic grassroots movement to impeach and remove this lawless president. And we need your help to raise $15,000 TODAY to turbo charge this work!
Trump is guilty of a long list of impeachable offenses, and the Ukraine scandal that ignited the impeachment process shows clear as day that Trump will sink to any depths to cheat and steal the 2020 election. He’s STILL actively trying to solicit help from Ukraine and other foreign countries and STILL promoting the debunked conspiracy theories at the heart of the Ukraine scandal.
We’ve also seen that Republicans in Congress will seemingly sink just as low as Trump to defend him, as they continue to put party and power over their oath of office and the survival of our democracy.
But guess what … this is the same thing that happened during Watergate and Nixon’s impeachment … until it became overwhelmingly clear to Republican lawmakers that the American people were DONE with the corruption and lawlessness of that president.
Today, we’re dealing with even worse lawlessness. The abuse of power, obstruction, and corruption carried out by our current president would make Nixon blush.
But just like with Nixon, turning the tide against Trump will depend on our ability to sway public opinion, show the tremendous grassroots strength of the pro-impeachment movement, and finally break the dam of Republican support. One major step will be helping to turn people out in the streets on the eve of the House impeachment vote (as soon as next week) to show the true will of the American people.
