"Supreme Court leaves in place Kentucky abortion restriction"
-Politico, 12/09/19

Friend --

On Monday, the U.S. Supreme Court rubber-stamped extreme political interference in the doctor-patient relationship by allowing an anti-choice law in Kentucky to remain in effect.

I believe this law is not only unconstitutional, but deeply unethical and morally abhorrent.

In Kentucky, doctors will are required to perform invasive, medically unnecessary tests on women seeking an abortion.

Even if the woman objects.

I will not stand by while extremists attack a woman's right to choose, pass laws that humiliate or violate their rights to consent and privacy. I will always stand with women, doctors, and Planned Parenthood to protect women's rights and access to reproductive care.

That's why I'm urging you to stand with me and fight back by making a donation to the Planned Parenthood Action Fund and our campaign today. It's never mattered more.

Here’s what Doctors in Kentucky had to say about this law that is a clear violation of human decency and women's rights:

“While the patient is half-naked on the exam table with her feet in stirrups, usually with an ultrasound probe inside her vagina, the physician has to keep talking to her, showing her images and describing them, even as she tries to close her eyes and cover her ears to avoid the speech.”

I will not stand by while extreme politicians force women -- including survivors of incest and rape -- to endure this trauma, this humiliation, this denial of their rights.

I will not sit and watch Roe v. Wade be rolled back.

I will always stand by a woman’s right to choose. I am proud to be endorsed by the Planned Parenthood Action Fund and with Roe v. Wade on the line, we need to unite and fight back. Please make a donation to our campaign and the Planned Parenthood Action Fund right now.

Thank you,
