There are just over three months until Election Day, and my race for Pennsylvania's 8th District is heating up.

Nate Silver's FiveThirtyEight recently joined other election experts in calling my race a "toss up" – and even listing it as the single most competitive House race in the country. With Republicans only needing to flip four seats to retake the House majority, they think they have one of their best shots here in PA-08.

National Republicans already announced they're spending $2.7 million in this district to defeat me, and now, a GOP dark money group said they're spending $450,000 in attack ads against me. I need your support to fight back and defend this crucial seat.

We have a difficult fight ahead of us, John. I was only one of seven Democrats who won House seats in districts that voted for Donald Trump. That means Republicans think my seat is flippable, and they're ready to say and spend whatever it takes to win.

In Congress, I'm fighting for all hardworking northeastern Pennsylvanians, and I know there is still more work to be done. I'm ready to continue working in Congress to expand access to affordable health care, lower costs for families, and so much more. But I need your help to win this "toss up" race.
