The Texas AFL-CIO Stands in support of this week’s AFL-CIO Protect our Freedoms Action!
Our most basic freedoms, including the freedom to form and join unions, are threatened by corporate CEOs and the politicians they bankroll. During this week of action, we are asking union members across the country to have conversations with workers at the door and at the worksite about the issues that matter most, and deeply engage workers through the National AFL-CIO member survey to better understand the worker issues.
This is an opportunity for the Texas labor movement to communicate with millions of working people around the country!
Workers are fed up, and we need to listen. When workers have real conversations with other workers about the issues we care about, it’s a powerful counter to the disinformation that has poisoned our political discourse. It’s never been more important than now for us to have thoughtful conversations about the threats to our economy, our families and our communities.
I ask that you stand with me and the thousands of Union Members around the country in engaging with each other, listening, and sharing ideas. Let’s talk to our members about this week’s AFL-CIO Protect our Freedoms Action!
In Solidarity
Rick Levy
