Week-in-Review

Dear Mr. xxxxxx,

As I begin another busy week in D.C., I wanted to pass along my latest update on what I have been doing to fight for you, Texas’ 21st Congressional district, and our country as a whole:

They break it, you buy it:

Last Wednesday, I spoke on the House floor to raise the alarm on destructive policies the left is pushing on our country, state, and communities. The Biden administration is refusing to secure our border, endangering Americans and migrants. Congressional Democrats are ignoring skyrocketing inflation and refusing to unleash American energy.

They are breaking our nation and the American people are footing the bill.

You can watch my full floor speech here.

Defending the Second Amendment:

Last week, I defended Americans’ fundamental right to self-defense in a committee hearing on gun control. The reality of that right is the purpose of the Second Amendment — as true today as at our founding.

Fighting for a secure border:

I remain firmly focused on the Biden Border Crisis. Late last week, I joined the Sara Carter Show to discuss the cartel-driven invasion at our border that the Biden administration is enabling,  China’s threat to American security, wokeness in our military, and how the administration’s deliberate refusal to defend our border is part of a much bigger, more troubling agenda.

The full clip of my Sara Carter interview is available here.

Here are some news stories about what I’ve been up to lately:

Scam Warning

Far too many residents of TX-21 have been victimized by financial scams. Below are a few tips and resources to assist you in identifying and avoiding financial scams:

  •  Be wary about sharing your social security number, bank account, or credit card information online or over the phone, and avoid clicking links in emails or text messages from unfamiliar sources. Consult a trusted friend, family member, or financial adviser before taking any action.
  • The Internal Revenue Service is warning of several popular scams targeting taxpayers, particularly the elderly. Details of these scams and resources to protect yourself can be found here.
  • If you or someone you know has been a victim of elder fraud, help is standing by at the National Elder Fraud Hotline. You can contact them at 833–372–8311.
  • If you have received a scam phone call, email, or message, you may report it to the Federal Trade Commission online or by calling 877–FTC–HELP (877–382–4357).

The US Department of Agriculture offers several resources available to farmers and ranchers impacted by the recent wildfires and drought in Texas. We encourage you to take advantage of this federal assistance if eligible.
