Earlier this month, Mandela announced that our campaign has received more donations than anyone else in this primary.

That's incredible, and it is all because of people all across Wisconsin and the country who have generously contributed to stand with Mandela. But now...we just have one small problem.

While lots of people are chipping in, our average donation has dipped, which means less money raised overall. As a result, we're currently not on track to meet our July fundraising goal.

So we have two choices:

1. We need a larger number of donations to keep pace.

2. We need to ask people to give slightly more than they normally would to help close the gap.

Normally when we ask people to make a donation to the campaign, we ask for $3. But today we're going to ask you for $10. Because the truth is that we rely on the response to emails like this one to help fund the campaign — especially with the primary just two weeks way.

Can you please make a $10 contribution to Mandela's campaign today? We need to have a big day today to stay on track to reach our goals before July ends.

We know this is a big ask, and we understand that not everyone is able to give.

But if you're someone who can afford it, we hope you'll consider contributing to stand with Mandela. Or perhaps contribute on behalf of someone else who would like to, but doesn't have the means to do so right now.

The strength of our campaign comes from the number of people who are getting involved to help flip this seat. Because unlike our opponents, Mandela doesn't have the ability to self-fund.
