Patriot, The House still hasn’t voted on H.R. 1808, Speaker Nancy Pelosi’s massive “Assault Weapons Ban” that would outlaw the most popular rifles in America. When Pelosi doesn’t rush a liberty-shredding bill to the floor, it’s a good sign that she doesn’t yet have the votes, which means your pressure is working. But make no mistake, Pelosi and Co. are going to continue to wrangle and twist arms for votes until time runs out, and it’s never been more critical that we double the pressure, right away! Bushmasters, Barretts, Colts, H&Ks, Mossbergs, Remingtons, SIGs, S&Ws … H.R. 1808 would ban hundreds of the most popular firearms in America. More than 200 types, in total. Congress is back in Washington this week, and they could put the “Assault Weapons Ban” up for a vote the moment they get the votes to pass it. But momentum is swinging in our direction. We need your petitions to continue to pour in, and it’s the perfect time to call your representative in Congress as well. If you haven’t already done so, click here to send a petition to Congress in seconds, and even if you have, it’s fine to send them another. And follow up with a phone call: Just call (202) 224-3121 and ask to be connected to your representative. You don’t need to leave a long message, a short message like this is fine: Hi, this is (your name) calling from (your
city). I’m calling to demand you defend the Second Amendment and vote NO on H.R. 1808, the Assault Weapons Ban, and any other bill that
restricts our Second Amendment rights. Everyone knows criminals don’t obey laws, and assault weapons bans don’t work, but H.R. 1808 would stop Americans from buying the most popular rifles for home protection and hunting. Please defend the Bill of Rights, and the right to self-defense. I expect you to vote NO on H.R. 1808 and any other bill that infringes on the rights of law-abiding gun owners. Even if your U.S. Congressman says he is 100% going to defend the Second Amendment and vote “no” on any gun control deal – or even if he says he is going to vote AGAINST your right to keep and bear arms – he (or she) needs to hear from you. Because they’re counting. And Democrats are counting to see how many seats they’re going to lose – and how much more they might get away with before that fateful Election Day. It’s not just about the Second Amendment: It’s about all the other issues we’ve been fighting on, from the Green New Deal to the surveillance state to giving our tax dollars to foreign governments. There is a reckoning coming in November, and the more petitions you send, the more phone calls you make, the more of a difference it really makes. So please be sure to take one moment to send a letter to Congress telling them to vote NO on H.R. 1808, and then follow up by calling your representative at (202) 224-3121. They act like they don’t care how many letters and petitions you send – because they want you to stop sending them. In reality, you, the voters, are the one thing they fear. They want the table’s turned . . . they want YOU to fear THEM. They think if you fear them, you won’t speak out and you won’t fight for your liberty. Because they fear you, they want your silence. Don’t give it to them. Call Congress NOW at (202) 224-3121. For Liberty, John McCardell Executive Director Campaign for Liberty P.S. We can stop the latest assault on the Second Amendment. We’ve done it before. Call your congressman NOW at (202) 224-3121. And if you support Campaign for Liberty’s ongoing efforts to expose and stop this madness, please support us with a contribution.
