** Who writes for the Century?
------------------------------------------------------------

I love our magazine, mostly because I love the writing. I am regularly struck by our writers’ thoughtful, artistic, curious, and insightful work. Sometimes an article is so resonant that I can’t help but think, “I want to know the person who wrote this.”

Unfortunately, the nature of magazines and limitations on pages and lines leave us with relatively short bios for our contributors. We must be content with Sally is the pastor of Such-and-Such Church in Georgia, or Steve has authored three collections of poetry.

Until now! We are building a collection of short videos ([link removed]) in which you can see and hear the folks who write for us. I’ll chat with them about their recent articles, their work, and the topics that matter to them. I hope to have a new video to share with you in each Editors’ Picks email. Today’s is exciting. Last week I sent you the fasctinating article “When my dad killed God ([link removed]) ,” by Don Hamilton, and here is a delightful video chat with Don ([link removed]) in which he shares more of his story.

Also below you’ll find a case for keeping conversion ([link removed]) in Christianity, an interview about the struggle ([link removed]) to ensure paid family leave for pastors, and a book review about the kraken of neoliberalism ([link removed]) . Plus more thoughtful content.

Email me: If you could interview one writer or author, who would it be? Why?

** My last note from the global church ([link removed])
------------------------------------------------------------

“The movement away from a specialized column seeking to cover the global church is highly appropriate. It reflects real progress in the popular awareness of global affairs among Christians.”
