Tyrone Hicks Jr. is nothing less than impressive. He is an athlete leader at Special Olympics Massachusetts, a playmaker on his Unified flag football team, and is one of ourš
Champions of Inclusionš
.
Born with cerebral palsy, Tyrone was told he would likely never walk, let alone play sports. But he proved everyone who doubted him wrong, in the best possible way.
By 3, he spoke his first words. By 10, he was walking without assistance. And now? Heās been a star on the turf and even led his team to victory scoring the game-winning touchdown in the final round of his Unified flag football game at the 2022 USA Games last month.
His determination has pushed him to accomplish anything he sets his mind to, including speaking at the USA Games closing ceremony where he reflected on his past week of showing the world that with inclusion, you can accomplish anything.Ā
Thatās why Tyrone is a perfect example of a š
Champion of Inclusionš
! Heās leading the charge for embracing the differences and abilities in all of us. Ā
We know youāre a leader too. Will you join us by signing our inclusion pledge?
Thanks for leading the charge,
