Submit Your Storm Heaven Intentions Today!

Dear Friend, 

Cardinal Burke will offer the Holy Mass from the Shrine of Our Lady of Guadalupe, in La Crosse, Wisconsin, which will be broadcast LIVE online, followed by His Eminence leading us in the Holy Rosary, on August 1st, at 7:00 AM Central Daylight Time, for all of the specific intentions that you submit and for all the prayer warriors of Operation Storm Heaven. You will be able to assist at the Holy Mass, which you will be able to access live from a link we will be sending you, as well as our YouTube and Facebook platforms. 

It is a great joy to join His Eminence again for this livestreamed Holy Mass at the shrine, which is a spiritual destination with many beautiful chapels, statues, gardens, and devotional areas for visitors and pilgrims from all over the world. Although Cardinal Burke’s 7:00 AM Holy Mass will be private, shrine visitors can assist at other Holy Masses that day at 8:30 AM and 12:15 PM. Here is the schedule, which includes confession, exposition and gift shop/bookstore store hours. 

For every intention you submit, remember to ask through the Blessed Virgin Mary, for God will not refuse her. Remember Our Lady of Guadalupe’s words to St. Juan Diego: Am I not here who am your Mother? Are you not under my shadow and protection? Am I not your fountain of life? Are you not in the folds of my mantle? In the crossing of my arms? Is there anything else you need?”

August is dedicated to the Immaculate Heart of Mary; the traditional feast day is August 22. Our Lady’s heart was pure, sinless. In the secular world, purity is associated with food, water, nutritional supplements and drugs. The Catechism of the Catholic Church states that modesty is the guardian of the virtue purity. Our bodies become temples of the Holy Spirit through the Sacrament of Baptism. How many times have we witnessed men and women who come to Sunday Holy Mass dressed in clothes that are usually worn to the beach, for exercising and even for sleeping. Short dresses, low-cut backs and tops revealing cleavage, shorts on both men and women, tight yoga pants and even pajama bottoms! All are not good clothing choices when worshipping the King of Kings at the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass!

Did you know that on the Feast of the Assumption on August 15 - some churches around the world offer the ancient Blessing of Herbs, that dates back to the tenth century? This blessing can also apply to fruits and vegetables too. It is an occasion to thank God for His great bounty, that is revealed in the abundant fruits He has bestowed upon us. Why not ask your pastor if you can bring fresh herbs, fruits and vegetables to be blessed? Let us be actively involved in reviving beautiful customs that richly proclaim our Catholic faith.

For all who have been affected by the extreme heat, especially farmers and those who work outdoors.

For Bishop Daniel Fernández Torres of Arecibo, Puerto Rico, whom Francis relieved from his episcopal duties in March (and does not know why) and Cardinal Zen, Bishop Emeritus of Hong Kong, who is fighting for the Catholic Church in China and was arrested by Chinese authorities in May – may both be granted meetings with Pope Francis. 

You and your family are part of Operation Storm Heaven. Your intentions are added each month to the Holy Mass celebrated by His Eminence, Raymond Cardinal Burke and to the Holy Rosary prayed by him and all the Rosary Warriors throughout the world on the 1st of August.
