Meet our team this Thursday night in Santa Fe! |

Since 2013, Santa Fe Dreamers Project has been providing free legal representation to undocumented youth in New Mexico. What started as a one-woman operation in Santa Fe is now a statewide powerhouse and leader in DACA services.
Today, we host two legal clinics weekly and we also offer online services as well, providing about 500 DACA recipients per year with expert legal advocacy. Want to learn more? Join us this Thursday night! |

Legal assistant Jordan Malcom (above, left), who is part of our Albuquerque DACA team, shares her thoughts on the 10th anniversary of DACA:
"On the tenth anniversary of DACA I am reminded what a gift it is to work with our clients while recognizing the necessity of a long term solution to DACA. I love that we are able to provide efficient, free, and quality services in Albuquerque and Santa Fe weekly. Additionally, being able to provide services so that clients can travel through Advance Parole is so special! All that said, I uplift the call from Dreamers for a long-term and permanent solution for DACA recipients. Our clients, everyone with DACA, and all those who are eligible for DACA deserve something expansive and permanent. This anniversary reminds me why I started doing immigration work and why I continue to do immigration work and advocacy!" |

Staff Attorney Jessica Aguirre (above, right), who is the lead of our Santa Fe DACA team, shares her perspective:
"10 years of DACA has been extraordinarily life changing for those eligible, however, 10 years of DACA also means 10 years of a legal status that is insufficient. Firsthand, I have been privileged to see how much lives can change with DACA, yet Congress has been stagnant for far too long and not only do DACA recipients deserve a pathway to citizenship, we desperately need a complete overhaul of our unfair and exclusionary immigration system. 10 years of DACA can be both celebrated and critiqued - ultimately, a permanent solution is long overdue."
This summer we are trying to raise $10,000 to support our DACA program. Donations from community members like you are still critical to keep our services free and accessible to undocumented and DACAmented community members across New Mexico. So far, we are only about 35% of the way to our goal. Please consider donating today! |
