Our most fundamental rights are under attack. In the last two weeks, the House of Representatives passed legislation to protect the right to abortions, contraception, interstate travel, and gay marriage. Now, it is up to the Senate to pass these bills so they can be sent to President Biden's desk and signed into law. 

Furthermore, after many hours of debate, the House Judiciary Committee advanced an assault weapons ban for the first time in decades. The full House is set to vote on the ban this week. In addition, my bill, the American Data Privacy and Protection Act, which will protect Americans' data and privacy online, advanced out of the Energy and Commerce Committee. The overwhelming majority of Americans want more protections online, it is time we deliver.
