John,
The work of rebuilding a Democratic majority in the Iowa Senate requires doing things differently than we have in the past, especially when it comes to fundraising. Iowa Republicans may rely on corporate PACs, special interests, and a small group of large donors to fund our campaigns — but we would rather do things the right way, with support from real people who believe, like we do, in making Iowa a better place to live, work, and raise a family.
That’s why we’re focused on building a grassroots fundraising operation that is empowering to all donors. These sustained funds allow us to make earlier, meaningful investments into year-round organizing rather than just late-in-the-game paid communications like TV ads and mail pieces.
As part of our sustaining donor program, we hold special events for our supporters who have an active monthly contribution. I’m excited to share that our next recurring donor appreciation event will be a reception held this Sunday, July 31st, just before my annual birthday breakfast.
This event is exclusively for sustaining supporters of the Senate Majority Fund. All you need to do to attend is commit today to a monthly contribution of any amount — even $3 makes a difference! — and of course, I hope you’ll stick around for the birthday breakfast as well! You can click here to join us as a sustaining donor and RSVP to the pre-breakfast reception now.

If you are unable to attend, please know how grateful all of us here at the Senate Majority Fund are to have you on our team. Together, I know that we can flip key Senate seats across the state and elect a legislature that answers to Iowans, not special interest groups and super PACs.
Hope to see you there,
Zach
