The world is warming, leading to more extreme weather events and public health catastrophes. Our greenhouse gas emissions are a primary driver of climate change, and if we don’t act right now to decrease them, we’ll soon reach the point of no return.
These are scientific facts. Yet the ultra-conservative Supreme Court just made the alarming decision to block our ability to respond to the climate crisis.
This is why protecting and expanding our majorities is SO important! We need a Democratic Senate in order to make positive impacts on climate change, especially now that the Supreme Court is acting against the will of the people. With its ruling in the case of West Virginia v. EPA , the Supreme Court has stripped the Environmental Protection Agency’s power to regulate greenhouse gas emissions from power plants.
In other words, they just made it even more difficult for the United States to fight climate change.
That’s why we need our lawmakers to STEP UP and right the wrongs of this radical Supreme Court.
With Republicans in Congress standing in the way of climate action, we need to protect vulnerable seats and elect more Democrats to Congress in order to make our voices heard on this critical issue.
Here at DWS PAC, electing more Democrats so we can take real action on critical issues like the climate crisis is our #1 goal.
Congress must enact meaningful climate legislation fast in order to get us back on track so we can deal with one of the greatest global threats of our lives.
