I’m back in D.C. after taking some much-needed rest over the weekend, and I wanted to write this quick note to you.

All your words of kindness and encouragement over these past few days have kept me grounded during one of the most intense weeks of my public service career. It really, really means the world to me.

Republicans have already unleashed even more attacks against me this week. My team and I are meeting tomorrow morning to prepare an assertive response, but I have some concerns about stretching our budget before the fall.
