Rep. Marilyn Strickland Votes With Nancy Pelosi Yet Again, Sends American Oil Reserves to China While Her Own District Suffers
Puyallup, WA—Police Captain and U.S. Army veteran Keith Swank slammed yet another vote by Marilyn Strickland siding with Nancy Pelosi and China over her own district. The vote that would have banned oil from the U.S. Strategic Oil Reserves from being sent to China was defeated as Strickland joined a unified vote with other democrats and Speaker Pelosi.
“Rep. Strickland’s vote to continue the Biden administration’s policy of sending American Oil Reserves to China is a betrayal of our district and the entire country,” said Swank.
“Gas here in the district is still averaging five dollars a gallon. It’s clear her interests aren’t the same as her own voters.
“There’s a lot of big unanswered questions about Strickland’s activities associated with China,” Swank continued.
“Her long record of putting the Chinese government before the people she represents stretches back to her time as Mayor of Tacoma, when she advocated for foreign interests and appeared in a Chinese government-controlled state propaganda publication called China Daily.
“Rep. Strickland’s ostentatious courting of Xi Jinping and the Chinese Communist Party on several trips to China and a high-profile visit to her husband’s workplace in Tacoma should raise some red flags.
“Much to the anger of many democrat voters in Tacoma, Strickland was also involved in talks of a Methanal and LNG plant being placed in the port to serve Chinese customers. Conveniently, this was during the same time period Hunter Biden was involved in similar projects.
“Strickland’s streak of 100% percent allegiance in voting with Pelosi and Biden’s agenda isn’t boding well for her claim of ‘working across the aisle’ which is nothing more than a ruse.
“In addition to economic problems, crime around here is out-of-control due to bad democrat leadership from the top down. As a cop sworn to protect and defend our citizens, I’ll always put innocent victims before criminals. When the GOP takes back congress next year, I’ll back policies to lift the country up and put the bad guys back in jail – where they belong.
