John,

Last week, Joe stood beside his colleagues in the House to pass the Respect for Marriage Act, a bill that would protect marriage equality by codifying it into law. This bold move to protect marriage equality comes after increased calls by the Supreme Court and Washington Republicans to overturn the historic Obergefell v. Hodges decision that legalized same-sex marriage.

Joe believes that above all else, Americans have the right to love who they choose, and to marry who they love. But the same can’t be said about Washington Republicans. In fact, 157 House Republicans voted against the Respect for Marriage Act.

It’s clear, John: If Kevin McCarthy gets his hands on the Speaker’s gavel, he and the MAGA wing of his caucus will work to pass a radical un-American and anti-Connecticut agenda that will marginalize the LGBTQ+ community and restrict all of our rights to privacy.

It’s critical that we protect the Democratic majority in the House, and re-electing Joe is one of our best ways to do that. Will you chip in any amount today to help us keep a fierce advocate like Joe in Congress?
