Elaine is a former Naval officer who served her country with honor. In Congress, she's been a powerful voice for government oversight, supporting federal workers, and protecting Virginia's shorelines. And most recently, she's been a prominent voice on the January 6th committee — helping uncover the truth and ensure that our elections are protected against future attempts at subversion.

We need her to remain in office so she can continue defending democracy, expanding healthcare access for veterans, and advocating for smart investments in our national security.

But like Jennifer, she has an exceedingly difficult race ahead of her. Redistricting shifted her district (which was already a tossup) two points to the right. And the Republicans nominated the preferred candidate of the NRCC — meaning that Elaine faces an anti-choice opponent backed by the full weight of the national party.

Lots of money is going to flow into this race from right-wing groups, and every donation that Elaine gets will help her be ready to fight back.

Elaine's last two elections came down to the wire, and 2022 could be her closest race yet. Jennifer knows that we can't waste a minute in strengthening Elaine's campaign.
