This is bad, John. Our opponents have filed ANOTHER lawsuit to try to block the lifesaving high-capacity magazine restrictions that took effect on July 1st. They’re hoping a court will put these restrictions on hold while the case is settled. 

Let us be clear: We know this law is constitutional. But our opponents have failed over and over again in the court of public opinion so they know their best shot at stopping our progress is through hail Mary legal challenges. 

We’ve taken on our gun lobby opponents in court almost a dozen times and remain undefeated. But success is not a guarantee. These battles take time and resources. But we know it’s worth it. Because we’re talking about defending a law that we know will save lives. 

Each of the six deadliest mass shootings in the last decade–Las Vegas, Orlando, Newtown, Sutherland Springs, El Paso, and Parkland–was fueled by high-capacity magazines. So were the recent tragedies in Buffalo, Uvalde, and Highland Park.
