Folks,

It’s hot out there. Virginia’s going through a record heat wave, as is the rest of the globe. There are wildfires in Europe, India had its hottest spring on record, London just broke its all-time record temperature, and it was 111 degrees in Oklahoma last week. We cannot wait any longer – we need Democrats everywhere to contribute and ensure our elected officials take this climate crisis as seriously as the moment demands.

Instead of leading Virginia to the life-threatening changes in climate the whole world is grappling with, Glenn Youngkin is channeling his Texan colleague by burying his head in the sand to the climate realities we are facing. In his first 6 months, he has not only tried to pull Virginia out of the Regional Greenhouse Gas Initiative, but he also nominated Trump’s disastrous EPA Director to be Virginia’s Secretary of Natural Resources. Thankfully, a Governor can’t undo a law passed during the two years of Democratic control, and our Blue Wall in the State Senate sent his nominee back to Mar-A-Lago.

It’s pretty clear that Republicans aren’t going to do anything about it, so we need to elect more Democrats who are going to take climate change seriously, before this crisis moves further past the point of no return.
