John,

You may or may not watch “The View,” but undoubtedly, you’ve heard of the
daytime talk show owing to the many ludicrous things their hosts have said
throughout the years. Let me remind you of a few examples:

“If you kick out all of the Latinos who’s going to clean your toilets?” –
Kelly Osbourn on illegal immigration

“It was a Halloween party. I went as a beautiful African woman.” – Joy Behar
on wearing blackface to a Halloween party

Or when Whoopie Goldberg last year had this to say when talking about the
Holocaust: “Well, this is white people doing it to white people. So, this is
y’all go fight amongst yourselves.”

Well, now things have gotten political once again. Recently co-host Sunny
Hostin said on air that she “doesn’t understand black Republicans,” and that a
black Republican is “an oxymoron.”

John, my name is Rod Dorilás and I’m not an oxymoron. I’m a trained lawyer,
military veteran, 1st generation American andproud Black Republican. I’m a free
thinker and advocate for smaller government, a robust judicial system and free
and fair elections.I believe that everyone should have the opportunity to hear
the arguments both sides make to win over votes and that no one’s support –
regardless of race – should be assumed by Democrats or Republicans.

John, it’s impossible to deny that there isn’t enough African American
representation in the modern Republican Party. That’s exactly why I’m running
for Congress for a House seat representing Florida

that there are a lot of Black Republicans in the U.S. – and we’re not an
oxymoron.

I believe that if voters are able to be reached equally by Democrat and
Republican campaigns, Republicans would win every time. I won’t deny that my
opponent is much more well-funded than I, which is why I’m making this special
ask of you today. If you could find it in your budget to send $2

to my campaign today, I’m certain I can flip this South Florida House seat on
behalf of our party.

Thank you for taking the time to read this email today. I sincerely
appreciate your consideration.

For Country,

Rod Dorilas

ABOUT ROD

Rod Dorilás is the first-generation son of two immigrants from Haiti. His
father immigrated to Florida to pick crops, and eventually his parents went on
to own a small business. From a young age, his parents instilled in him the
importance of hard work, integrity, and service.

At age 17, Rod enlisted in the United States Navy, serving for six years as a
Petty Officer Second Class and Assistant Engagement Control Officer onboard the
USS The Sullivans, stationed in Jacksonville. There, he was responsible for
planning and executing the deployment of Tomahawk Land Attack Missiles on the
Ballistic Missile Defense destroyer.

Upon completion of his military service, Rod attended law school at Syracuse
University with the help of the G.I. Bill. After graduating, he served in
President Trump's Administration in the U.S. Department of Commerce. While
serving our great nation, Rod fought tirelessly to ensure that American
families and businesses weren't taken advantage of by China.

Rod is a true public servant and is dedicated to serving his country and
community. He wants to ensure that every American, through hard work and
perseverance, can achieve the American Dream. Rod is running for Congress in
South Florida to continue Trump's America First Agenda and defend our country
from the Radical Left.

Will you stand with Rod?
