Hi there, my name is Michael Taylor. I served in the CIA with Evan McMullin following 9/11, and I can tell you what he won’t about his service.
But before I begin, I’d be remiss if I didn’t ask you to join me in supporting Evan’s independent U.S. Senate campaign. Please, chip in now to elect a courageous, real-life American hero to represent Utah in Washington.
Although our responsbilities were different, Evan and I shared the same mission in the CIA: hunt down the terrorists responsible for Sept. 11, and protect America from further attacks by our most dangerous enemies.
Shortly after 9/11, Evan volunteered to work in one of the most hostile foreign terrorist hotspots in the world. There, he served as the tip of the spear for America’s efforts to fight back against Al-Qaeda and their terrorist operations.
But in my time in the CIA, I had not heard of many operatives accepting, let alone volunteering, for an extension. Evan chose to extend twice, for a total of three, back-to-back years working in the most dangerous places on Earth.
That’s the thing about Evan: His will to serve is not about himself; it’s about doing all he can to better this country and its people.
Right now, Americans are profoundly divided, our politics are broken and our leaders in Washington are entrenched in party tribalism.
But as an independent, Evan isn’t running to serve a powerful special interest group or political party. He’s running to serve Utahns and our country — just as he has done his entire career.
In the Senate, just like the CIA, Evan will stand in places few others are willing to stand. He will do what’s right, not because it’s easy, no matter how hard the task.
It’s for those reasons and more, I urge you to support Evan McMullin for the U.S. Senate. Please, join me by chipping in to Evan’s campaign today, and let’s elect a leader who will always put America first.
In Solidarity,
Michael Taylor
