Voters are able to cast ballots early for the August 9th Primary Election.
The 46-day early voting period gives all eligible voters two options for participating:
- Vote By Mail
- Early In-Person.
VOTE BY MAIL
If you wish to limit in-person contact, you may choose to vote by mail instead of visiting your polling place on Election Day. To do so, you need to submit an Absentee Ballot Application. The application will ask you to provide identifying information and a mailing address where you would like to receive your ballot.
Your Absentee Ballots can be requested by clicking HERE or HERE.
Your ballot should arrive a week after the application is received.
Note: The “Witness Section” of an absentee ballot’s signature envelope must be completed. Absentee ballots missing this information will be rejected.
VOTE EARLY IN-PERSON
You can also take advantage of in-person early voting at the City’s Early Vote Center located at:
980 E Hennepin Ave, Minneapolis, MN 55414
Typical service hours are 8am - 4:30pm, Monday through Friday, with expanded weekend hours in the final two weeks leading up to Election Day.
The Early Vote Center will have all the features typically found in a polling place including curbside voting, assistive voting equipment, language translation, and same-day voter registration.
