With just a couple of weeks to go until the primary, we’re looking at a bleak choice if we fall short. Voters will be forced to choose between two extremes -- a defunder and an anti-abortion zealot.

There’s a lot on the line for Hennepin County in this race.

Ryan will bring a unique skill set to the office, which is desperately needed in order to get all of the pieces of our public safety system working together. Cooperation is critical to get a handle on rising crime in Minneapolis and across the county.

His top two opponents leave a lot to be desired. On one side, a defunder who refuses to even acknowledge that rising crime is a problem. On the other is a far-right ideologue whose main interest in this race is banning abortion in Hennepin County.
