We've got a problem, John. Republican politicians are using gerrymandering to gain unearned majority power, advancing fringe legal theories that would make overturning elections legal, and stacking courts with judges who they believe will enable their power-grabbing schemes.

Clearly, there’s no limit to how low the GOP is willing to stoop to seize power and undermine democracy – and this sobering fact leaves us with two options:

Option One: We can GIVE UP.

We can sit back and watch the GOP carry out their coordinated strategy to sledgehammer their way into power. Without us fighting back, Republicans will be free to use anti-democratic strategies to implement their extreme agenda.

This is exactly what the GOP is banking on, by the way – as President Obama put it, "Our opposition is counting on the NDRC to lose the energy and drive that our movement has sustained so far."

If we take Option One, we give Republicans exactly what they want… which leaves us with Option Two:

Option Two: We can get FIRED UP.

Instead of getting discouraged, we can renew our resolve, fight back, and defend our democracy from Republican attacks. We can continue investing in target races across the country, working with our affiliates to defend voting rights, and helping elect leaders who will fight for the future of free and fair elections.

If we take Option Two, we can work together to help thwart the Republican plot to impose minority rule.
