Dear Supporter,
I'm writing to you as final preparations for this year's Project Truth Roadshow are underway! Soon, a group of young people from around the UK will be taking the pro-life message to the streets of Scotland, engaging the public on the topic of preborn development.
Project Truth is a fantastic platform to allow young people to engage in positive discussions with passers by, in the hope that hearts and minds will be changed and at the same time it helps to build their confidence in discussing these issues. Often it’s difficult to have productive conversations on social media when so many people are jumping in on the conversation - our model allows a more open and honest one-to-one dialogue to take place and in turn we often see amazing results.
As we step out onto the streets, we also have in mind those who are in a crisis pregnancy situation and those who have been hurt by abortion. We know that many women find themselves in extremely difficult circumstances when they discover they are pregnant and often they see abortion as the only answer to the crisis or perhaps they may be coerced into the decision. A crucial element of being pro-life is to offer these women real help in their crisis, to offer them hope and everything we can to help them to have their child. We know that as well as ending a human life, abortion can damage all those affected by it - from the mother to the wider family, friends and society.
I’m excited to join these courageous young people in building a culture of life on the streets. They are an asset to not only SPUC, but the wider pro-life movement in the UK.
We thought you might want to get to know some of their faces!
