John,
The importance of a strong, secure democracy cannot be overstated.
But even with Donald Trump no longer in office, our democracy is still in peril. Congress still hasn’t passed comprehensive democracy reform, Trump still hasn’t been held accountable for January 6th and his efforts to overturn a free and fair election, and Trump and hundreds of his fellow Republicans serving and running for office continue to perpetuate the Big Lie.
That’s why CREW’s work matters more than ever, and why I’m proud to serve on CREW’s board. CREW has continued to expose Trump’s corruption, has uncovered new details about how January 6th unfolded, and filed a criminal complaint about Trump’s attempt to overturn the election in Georgia, which likely helped lead to the ongoing grand jury investigation in Fulton County.
For all that work and more, CREW could use your support. A generous donor is matching up to $75,000 in donations for the month of July—with less than a week left, your contribution will be matched and will go twice as far in supporting CREW’s anti-corruption work. If you’re able, please consider making a contribution now.
CREW has also played a unique role in pushing crucial ethics and anti-corruption legislation in Congress—like the ENABLERS Act, a huge step forward in combating money laundering, which just passed the House last week. Working for real reform is not a quick process, but CREW’s in it for the long haul, with groundbreaking and creative legal and investigative work.
There’s no one else doing the work that CREW does, and that’s why I hope you’ll join me in standing with CREW this month.
Please consider making a matched donation before Sunday—your support will enable CREW to keep up the fight for our democracy.
Thank you,
Senator Claire McCaskill
