Akron City Council is about to take an extended break...
Dear Comrade,
Today, Monday (7/25) marks the last council meeting before Akron City Council takes a 5-week hiatus. We'd love for you to join us in letting them know that you demand police accountability for the murder of Jayland Walker. Follow these instructions to sign up to speak by 4pm on Monday. The meetings starts at 7pm, and we will be watching together at FreedomBLOC (848 W Exchange St.).
A few additional highlights:
National DSA has joined us in our demands to enact a better city with their own Statement of Solidarity.
Wednesday (7/27) is our July general meeting, and we have a lot to discuss. Click here to register. Our meetings are open to all, and we want to see you there. This is your chapter — together, we are DSA.
We appreciate you all, and we know that you can't always come out in person. You can also help us by donating to our Solidarity Fund and/or sharing it on your personal social media. This will keep us fighting longer.
Solidarity,
Akron DSA
