YOUR GIFT TODAY COULD GIVE SIMBA THE FOOD AND SHELTER HE NEEDS!

Hello John

Knowing how much you love lions and care about stopping suffering, we wanted to ask your help.

Your gift of just £7 could provide a day’s food for Simba. And thanks to our friends, Julia Grazien-Smith and Olsen Animal Trust, who are doubling all donations up to the total of £12,000 between now and 1st September, your £7 could provide TWO day’s food for Simba, at no extra cost to you.

Do you remember this young lion? He was just weeks old when found abandoned in a cardboard box in Moscow, desperately crying for his lost mother. He was taken in by Wild Nature Hospital, who asked if we could give him a forever home. How could we say no?!

But now, Born Free desperately needs to raise funds to pay for Simba’s lifetime care and build him a purpose-built home – can you help?!

WE NEED YOUR HELP TO BUILD SIMBA HIS NEW ENCLOSURE  ( [link removed] )

In June, Born Free moved the youngster, now aged around two, to a wonderful home for life with our friends at Animanatura Wild Sanctuary in Italy. Sadly, we didn’t have space to take Simba to our sanctuary in South Africa, but Simba has settled into his temporary enclosure.

“Simba has been here for one month,” explains Lisa Russo at Animanatura. “He’s enjoying his temporary enclosure. He scratches his claws on tree trunks, is sleeping and eating well.

“Simba had such a sad beginning to life. Abandoned, crying… He hasn’t had his mother’s love, but I can guarantee he’s got a lot of love now! We now need to build Simba a brand new area, so if anyone wants to help they can be part of this fantastic project and build an even better and bigger home for Simba in the future.”

Born Free is now urgently raising funds for Simba’s lifetime care and to build him a spacious, purpose-built grassy enclosure on the hillside. Can you help?

PLEASE DONATE WHAT YOU CAN TODAY ( [link removed] )

With your support, Simba’s new home will have climbing structures, a viewing platform (a good view of their surroundings is really important for big cats’ mental wellbeing), an indoor shelter zone with wooden platform beds, and the entire area enclosure surrounded by trees to maximise privacy.

If everyone who loves lions could donate £7 today (doubled thanks to our generous match giving supporters), you could help look after this remarkable young lion.

And that would be ROARSOME!

Love the Born Free team aka Simba’s fan club xx
