The waitlist number is getting smaller but we really need your help

I hope you received my email last week?

We had 259 babies and children on our waitlist in the Geelong region who needed help before Christmas. We were able to help 181 of them thanks to the response we received from the community last week.

But we still have a long waitlist of children who need support before Christmas.

Babies and children who are waiting for a safe place to sleep, and families who are struggling to stay afloat.

Please can I ask for your help today [[link removed]] to get that waiting list number down to zero before 25 December? With $187, we can buy a cot and mattress, because we’re already short of the stock we need.

Just like the donations that came through last week, yours will have an immediate impact and will be used to support a family before Christmas.

I must stress again that it costs money to provide our crucial service to more than 20,000 at-risk babies and children across Victoria with the help of St Kilda Mums and Eureka Mums each year.

They really are just normal, unavoidable costs and we do everything we can to keep them as low as we can.

We have to pay for a roof over our heads, for water and power. We need to cover the cost of our small paid team who are critical in coordinating our service and ensuring every piece of equipment that goes out is safe and looks brand new.

And sadly, at this time of year, we will most definitely have to purchase nursery equipment as the need from families grows larger every day as we edge towards 25 December.

We have less than two weeks left before our doors close for 2019 and we need to ensure these families have the essentials they need for their baby to sleep safely this Christmas.
