Another day of impeachment hearings. Another day of party-line grandstanding. Another day in which one thing is clear: we must gain control of the Senate in 2020.

Some members of Congress STILL refuse to stand up to this president. And, tragically, some continue to cover for him, peddling conspiracy theories we all know are unfounded and baseless.

Late last week House Speaker Pelosi announced that articles of impeachment are being drafted and a House vote is targeted for just before Christmas. What happens after the House votes? Well, the next phase of impeachment moves on to the Republican-controlled Senate.

It’s more important than ever to focus on electing Senators who won’t toe the party line, but instead uphold their oaths to protect the American people from foreign interference and a criminal president.

Nothing is more important than electing a Senate that operates as our Constitution demands: as part of a fair and just system of checks and balances.
