Folks – I’m checking in today with a very quick update on our fundraising and to ask for a favor.
Here’s the deal:
We are on track for our BEST fundraising month of the entire campaign, which is AMAZING. We’ve raised more money than every other challenger in this race combined, and I am the best-funded progressive challenger Larsen has ever faced. I am so grateful for every one of our grassroots supporters who have brought us this far.
Unfortunately, fundraising slipped a little last week and we’re now projected to fall about $1,300 short of our $20,000 goal for July.
Here’s why that number matters:
I’m not a rich guy, and I don’t have rich friends. Unlike my opponent, I’m not cashing thousand dollar checks from corporate PACs every week – nor do I want to.
But being a working class candidate, holding down a full time job and running a full time campaign is tough. And I count on my nearly all-volunteer team to make this work.
That will get us through the primary, but we’re going to have to do more to win in November.
We’re only $1,300 behind at the moment. If 59 people pitched in our average contribution of $22 right now, we’d be back on track. Can I count on your support today?
