Democrats' Partisan Spending Package

Dear Texans,

This week, Democrats passed the FY23 Appropriations package filled with liberal priorities. The Democrats' bills will increase federal spending, restrict domestic energy production, and fund President Biden's Green New Deal agenda. Unfortunately, Speaker Pelosi rejected all of my amendments that would have diverted wasteful spending and boosted programs to help Texans. Roundtable on Effects of Rising Interest Rates on Small businesses

The Federal Reserve's decision to aggressively raise interest rates to get inflation under control has had dire impacts on job creators. I was glad to host a roundtable with community bankers and House Small Business Committee members to discuss these impacts and learn more about the real world consequences.

President Biden's Attack on American Energy

In an attempt to fix the energy crisis he created, President Biden went to Saudi Arabia to beg them to increase their global oil supply but in the end he failed miserably.
