Scam colleges are wicked: they prey upon belief in the American dream to destroy a family's financial security and future.

And yet these predatory colleges are still very real and are too often subsidized by our federal tax dollars. They claim to provide career preparation and training, but are really designed to rake in profits, leaving students with massive debt, worthless degrees, and no hope of digging out.

And instead of trying to crack down on these scams, Donald Trump's Secretary of Education, Betsy Devos -- who was invested in a company that profited from student loan defaults -- is rolling back rules intended to hold them accountable.

No more. No way.

I'm taking on Betsy DeVos to fix this scam college problem. Will you pitch in $3 and help me build our campaign to take her on?

My plan: close the loopholes. Taxpayers should not finance programs that claim to prepare students for careers in their chosen fields, but are actually unaccredited in those fields and leave students with nothing but debt.

If an institution makes claims it cannot back up, then it should be ineligible for federal financial aid programs. It's that simple.

Congress needs to stand up to these predatory programs that are hurting students and families in communities across America. We must not sit idly by while Trump and DeVos allow this to happen.

Chip in $3 right now and let's build the movement to stop Betsy DeVos and Donald Trump.

Onward.
