John — Climate change is a crisis. Period. And we have to act like it.
Which is why President Biden is considering declaring a national climate emergency. Thanks to the inaction in passing meaningful legislation in the Senate, the White House now is looking at any option available to move its climate agenda forward.
Designating climate change as a national emergency will immediately elevate it to a national security priority.
This will help us allocate more resources to cut carbon emissions, invest more in clean energy, hold serial polluters fully accountable, and ensure climate justice for frontline communities.
As the President makes his decision, we wanted to hear from you: Do you think that President Biden should declare a national climate change emergency?
YES [[link removed]] NO [[link removed]]The climate crisis is already impacting our economy, our citizens' health and safety, and the United States' national security. And our kids will only face worse.
The time is now for the Biden administration to take executive action so we can mobilize federal resources to prepare to mitigate the worst impacts of climate change and protect the interests of our nation and its people.
So, John, what do you think: Should President Biden declare climate change as a national emergency?
YES [[link removed]] NO [[link removed]]Thanks for speaking out.
