John,

Thirteen years ago today, the federal minimum wage was raised for the last time. Today, Pennsylvania is one of 20 states that still only requires employers to pay their workers $7.25 an hour.

$7.25 wasn't enough in 2009, and it's not enough today. Too many families in Northeastern Pennsylvania are working 40 hours a week and still not being paid enough to provide for themselves or their families. This is unacceptable.

Last year, I was proud to co-sponsor the Raise the Wage Act to raise the federal minimum wage to $15 by 2025. This would give nearly 32 million Americans a raise, including thousands here in PA-08. But Republicans have blocked progress on a minimum wage increase at every turn.

It's time we start paying all workers the living wage they deserve. In Congress, I'll continue fighting to raise the minimum wage to ensure workers in Pennsylvania – and across the country – are paid a living wage. But I want to hear from you:
