As the January 6th hearings concluded last week, Kevin McCarthy took the opportunity to remind us once again what his true intentions are if Republicans take back the House in November.

First: McCarthy plans to strip anyone who supported or worked on this committee of their assignments and leadership roles in Congress. His scorched-earth revenge campaign will leave Democrats (and cooperative Republicans) with their hands tied.

Then: With the gavel in his hand, McCarthy and his extremist allies will launch a series of nonsense investigations with the sole purpose of discrediting Democratic leaders, riling up the conservative base, and dividing our nation even further.

While working families in our community struggle, McCarthy is plotting his revenge tour and paving the way for a Trump comeback. It's repulsive, and I won't sit by and watch our community suffer. 

I’m more determined than ever to make sure McCarthy never serves another term in office. But if we're going to stop him from getting the Speaker's gavel, we need to see a wave of grassroots support.

Kevin McCarthy has lost sight of what his role in Congress is.

We need to make sure that undecided voters in our community know that he’s wasting their tax money playing cheap political games when he should be fighting for better resources for the Central Valley.
