We knew the Supreme Court would likely overturn Roe – and that’s why I didn’t wait to file a lawsuit months ago and use my executive authority to ask the Michigan Supreme Court to immediately resolve whether Michigan’s Constitution protects the right to abortion.

As long as I’m your governor, I will never stop fighting like hell to defend safe, legal abortion. But my opponents have all pledged to enforce Michigan’s dangerous near-total abortion ban if elected, and that’s why we must win this tough fight.
